Grampy's results came back, and apparently it is the worst case senario - but they're confident they've found it early enough that he's gonna be fine.

*attempts calming breathes and positive thinking*

Rowan's staying with my parents overnight, but there's no rest for the wicked. I'm taking him to a football school tomorrow morning, to see how he gets on. While I'm loathe to encourage him to be a football nut, since they irritate the hell out of me, I'd rather he actually play like his godfather does than be an armchair supporter like his dad.

Wasn't feeling too hot this morning, as my cold has gone to my chest, so I popped to Boots on the way into work for some more remedy. I also called in to Starbucks for some hot chocolate with peppermint, to boost my mood, and was pleasantly surprised when the barista recognised me! I don't go in very often as it's not cheap in there, but I had to skip breakfast on monday so I'd called in there for a panini. We'd been joking a little with each other over the dangerously loose carpet runner across the doorway to the supply room. It's hilarious in that wrong way to see people tripping over it.

It was nice to be remembered like that. Brightened my morning up a little.
