Comics Day again!
Jan. 26th, 2006 09:35 pmRobin #146 actually didn't suck! *surprised* But then again, it was an Infinite Crisis tie-in guest-starring the Titans, so that certainly helps matters. The artwork's still as bad as ever though.
I also picked up 1 through 4 of Infinite Crisis, pretty much because Kris said I had to. *chuckles* I could walk away from my subscriptions, and that man would still get sales out of me. Haven't had a chance to read through them all yet though - it's the kind of storytelling that requires concentration.
Bumped into my old room-mate Tim as I was leaving. Man, I haven't seen him for a long time. At least a year, as he pointed out in that amused/admonishing way people do about things like this. 'Course, he'll never come out and say "And just why is it that I haven't seen you in so long, young lady?" *chuckles*
It's not easy to hold a conversation with Tim at the best of times, but after a period of long absence it's even harder. He's as bad at small talk as I am, and a lot of our interaction has been over drinks in the pub with sci-fi fans, or sharing snacks and a film. Plus when we lived together I could tell him about my evening at work while I helped him with the dishes.
But, we did manage to hold a conversation for about ten minutes or so. When I excused myself to go collect Rowan he was very sincere in his agreement when I said "Hope I see you again soon!"
Maybe, once this place is finally straightened up (Hah, can I laugh now?) I'll be able to invite people other than Rowan's godmother to come visit me...
