Okay, they need to get the poor thing back out into open water, but I can't help but find it funny.

So yesterday was thursday...

which means comics day at my mate's store.

I didn't bother to go for the last couple of weeks, as I'm getting rather pissed off with the way things are going. And to be honest? I still am.

I picked up Teen Titans, Birds of Prey, Nightwing and Batgirl. I knew Teen Titans would suck, 'cause one of my supervisors also picks it up and he let me skim through while he was printing me off some work.

Nightwing...was a good story, but OMFG what? Why the hell did they destroy Blüdhaven??? Haven't they kicked Nightwing's prone - if extremely cute - tush enough this last year? On the flip side it was good to see Amy again.

Batgirl...please tell me they're not serious? Please, for the love of everything that's good, that can't be it.

The only bright spark, as usual, was Birds of Prey. Seriously, they should let Gail write the entire Bat-titles (though cut down the number of Batman ones, obviously, or she'd have a breakdown). And I had a major squee moment that I am amazed I have not yet spotted on scans_daily, unless I missed it.

Gah! I know we're not supposed to go "Nah nah - we write better than DC!" But at least jla_watchtower actually treat the characters with dignity!
