Hee

There's a whale swimming up the Thames....

Okay, they need to get the poor thing back out into open water, but I can't help but find it funny.

Wonder if it's thinking, "Oh, no, not again"?

*laughs*

You have to wonder what prompted it to break through the Thames Barrage though.

It's the juxtaposition of 'whale' and 'Thames' that's funny, but I do hope they manage to rescue the poor animal. I'm still sad about the kidnapped penguin!

I hope so too - I haven't heard any more news about it since half three this afternoon.

I know - that poor penguin! *sighs*

I hope the poor thing is alright.

The Thames is not the cleanest of rivers, from what I have heard.

And every time I hear about the Thames, I'm reminded of a story my brother brought back from his honeymoon in England and Scotland. Sitting on the plane, there was a very American woman talking with her very American husband, saying how they wanted to see the "Thay-mees" river. *wince*

No, it's not a very clean river...you'd think the stuff coming out of the barrage would have been enough to disuade it from getting so far in it couldn't turn around...

Oh good grief... and I felt daft enough accidentally mispronouncing Bothell 'Bow-full' about six years ago....
