Not a good start to the day....
Jan. 19th, 2006 11:20 amI got woken up at about three thirty this morning by my 'darling' boy trying to snuggle into me in bed and leaning on me in the most awkward and uncomfortable ways possible. No matter how many times I asked him to get off me - preferably to go back to his own bed - he just wouldn't co-operate. We ended up rowing about it for the next three hours, off and on, before he finally settled down behind me. My alarm then went off at six thirty, but I crawled back into bed as soon as I turned it off, and we dozed for another couple of hours....
I'm just grateful that I ironed our clothes for today last night, or we would have been running around like headless chickens this morning. As it was, we narrowly got out of the house in time for the bus that wouldn't make me late for work.
I'm a little cheesed off with work just now too. It's time for the SGM again, and so they're looking to film some more stuff for the presentation. An email went out to 'all staff' yesterday looking for someone with a camera and editing experience.
Those who were reading my journal this time last year will remember how I worked myself ragged editing the dratted thing - doing the work in my free time as well as during my shifts. Plus they recruited me for editing the testimonials to be shown at the presentation when the Managing Director left in the summer. So it kinda hurt a little when they didn't approach me straight away. This was compounded when I emailed the Operations Manager back to advise I didn't mind editing again, only to be told "I will keep you posted if we need you."
Yeah, okay whatever.
