Jan. 15th, 2006 12:03 pmYesterday was a pretty good day, which made a lovely change.
My parents came and took Rowan out for a few hours, so that I could tidy up and do some sorting out in my bedroom. The room's become something of a dumping ground since I haven't been able to sleep in there.
I managed to get most of the stuff out before I gave up for the day. It took me hours as I'd also had to sort out the living room first.
In the afternoon, one of my best friends called over to hang out with us and exchange christmas presents. She gave Rowan a cute wooden trainset (he's obsessed with trains) and me a lovely picture of a cat with a celtic design around it. We talked, played with Rowan and watched Jackie Chan in 'Around The World In Eighty Days' - it was fun.
Then when she headed home I set to work on the mammoth task of posting the next part of
_robin_'s solo plot in
jla_watchtower. I had to play four characters at one point! *headspin* Still, it came out pretty well - those weeks of tinkering with it in a notebook on the bus to work paid off.
My ear's still giving me gyp, but it started to hurt again last night. Still does now. Gonna see how it goes tomorrow with the council's workmen, and see about an appointment with my doctor on tuesday.
Rowan doesn't know it yet, but I'm taking him to the theatre this afternoon. I got tickets from work for the pantomime, 'Peter Pan'. I'm really looking forward to it as I've not been in years and there's a local radio DJ who does the panto every year. I've wanted to see him in action for ages.
