*shakes head in frustration*
Jan. 13th, 2006 07:53 pmMy right ear has been blocked since last friday - probably catarrah or something - though it thankfully hasn't hurt me since saturday. It just feels like I've stepped out of the swimming pool, or the bath, and I just need it to pop.
The pressure changes depending on what I do, too. Sometimes it's just niggly, other times I feel like my ear drum's gonna explode.
There's also a wierd little side-effect I noticed last night. It's done something funky to the hearing in my right ear, so that anything high-pitched echoes and seems to be behind me, just off to my right. For instance, when Sym's yelling at me - something he does a lot - I hear two cats. One in front of me, one behind me. And listening to music can be disturbing too...
But I also can't abide it when it's quiet - more than normal. When there's no background noise, this double effect is more obvious, so I have some music on just because it feels less wierd.
In other news, I have monday and tuesday off next week so that I can supervise the workmen who are finally coming to sort out my bedroom. I also need to get the house insurance claim shifting....called them twice today, so hopefully it won't take too long.
