Oh dear God, I'm a fool....
I have cable tv. It's a pretty good deal - phone, tv and broadband for £30. And my phonecalls on top of that never come to more than £5.
But.
I have the base tv pack - which, to be honest, sucks. Most of the good channels I don't have. Including Toonami, which shows the cartoons Rowan and I love so much, even when the main Cartoon Network channel don't.
So...what do I do this evening? I call up Customer Services and ask how much it would be to upgrade to the Family Pack, which includes not only Toonami, but the music channels and Hallmark - I seriously miss those. I used to love watching Sue Thomas FB-Eye.
El Blokie on the phone tells me it's only another £8.50. Making my total cable bill unlikely to be much more than £40.
*whistles innocently and makes plans to watch Toonami as soon as Rowan's gone to bed....*
In other news, I feel much better now. I had to struggle into work today, and I wasn't at my best, but paracetemol helped a great deal.
