Man...I remember when Jill Dando died. I was returning a video camera to the University's resources department when I heard it on the news, having been working on a video project that day. What a thing to hear on your twenty-first.

Someone on my FL, I forget who, was born on the day Lincoln was assassinated. Some bizarre connection there. Not as bizarre as my (not-really) Jill Dando connection. I used to work with this girl called Georgina who was terribly posh, and very much Mumsy's girl. Georgina had even more Lady Problems than I used to have (and made more fuss about them), so Mumsy went out and found a private gynaecologist for her. Who was no other than Tragic Alan, Jill Dando's fiance.

Fame!!

(If I sound bitchy ... I used to work in a lovely rare book shop, in Cecil Court right in the heart of my favourite part of London. When trade went downhill after 9/11, the boss kept Georgina on instead of me. Because she was posh, and had nice tits.)

(Totally don't blame you...I'd be bitter too. While I've never been present for redundancies, I've seen a lot of people passed over for much-deserved promotion due to not having the right face.)
