This episode always feels strange to me. Because, for some strange reason, I remember this episode. Or at least the break-up scene between Natalie and Jeremy.
And yet I have no idea when I saw it, or how. This is not the kind of show my parents would have watched and I'm pretty sure I didn't come across it on Paramount's Comedy Central or something.

Weirdly, I get no chemistry at all between Sam Donovan and Dana. Which, considering that, you know, William Macy and Felicity Huffman (interviewed in Heat magazine this week!) are married is - oh, I already said 'weird'. Oh, well. It annoys me, the way in the second season the writers make Dana throw herself at every man that comes along - it makes her look kind of desperate and pathetic, when she was so tough all through Season 1. And dressed professionally, too, instead of coming to work looking like she'd been painting the spare room.

Dana is pretty desperate in this season isn't she. She starts off insane (hello! Dating plan? Stupid!) and then as soon as Casey has the balls to call her on it she just gets needy... I like Sam, but I don't see any shippiness between him and anyone in the main cast.
That being said, I may have to go peruse 'Heat' at some point soon....
Speaking of Tom Waits - I was looking at his back catalogue in a music shop this afternoon. Does he have a greatest hits compilation or something? So much is made of Dan's love of his music I'm curious.
