Epic fail, interwebs!
I've been clearing out some of my kitchen cupboards and dug out my old food steamer - never ever gotten around to using it. Only trouble is, I no longer have the destruction manual either....
Did an online search, since that's helped me with other appliances, but dim byd, zip, nadda! :-(
I don't have any veg to steam, since everything's in the freezer, but I was contemplating steaming the chicken thighs for lunch.

I have all sorts of appliances and gadgets in my kitchen cabinets, but I'm not really a gadget person. (People give them to me.) An electric whisk that needs to much cleaning it's quicker to do it by hand. An electric milk whisk for frothy coffee - I drink mine black. Something that I think is a blender. A mandoline slicer - which, what, and how did it get there, I have no memory of it at all, still less any need to slice a mandoline ...
Come to think of it, I have a rice steamer for the microwave, which is no quicker or more convenient than just boiling it.

I have a few odds and sods around here that were given to me off the cuff; my nan gave me her ice cream maker, which I can never get to work right, and her smoothie maker, which is currently gathering dust at Mam's house.
I also have a food processor which was given to me when I was having Rowan, but I never ever got the hang of it. I think it's damaged now though, from multiple house moves, so I don't want to even try and use it.
I contemplated getting a microwave rice steamer - they're only about a fiver or so in Argos - 'cause I seem to fail at boiling rice these days... Used to cook rice all the time as a teenager, then got out of the habit for over a decade and can't get it right anymore.
