Ugh...

Feeling really awful today

I'm still getting those really painful abdomincal cramps during my periods. Not every month, but most of them. :-(

Got woken up at three this morning with the sense of an impending spasm in my backpassage, which wasn't relieved by a trip to the bathroom. I've come to recognise this over the last few months, so I grabbed one of the pharmacy-only Nurofen ibuprofen I picked up last week in preparation. By the time I got back to bed the pain had made its way to my abdomen.

I don't know if it's the difference between these ibuprofen and the co-codamol the hospital gave me back in February, but it took an hour - and another bathroom trip - before the pain subsided and I was able to get to sleep. And now I feel very groggy. I'd normally head to the library in town to do some studying, but instead I've just come home and vegged. The dose I took at seven thirty has just about left my system, but I don't want to take another dose yet; if this happens again tonight I'll have had too many within a twenty-four hour period, and I really don't want to even contemplate trying to deal with that...

I think you're getting too ill, too often, and it's time you went and had a chat about it. On the other hand, that's so much easier said than done.

In the meantime, *hugs*.

I probably should go see my GP, though I don't know what they could do about it. The Gynae doctor on duty at the hospital that night I ended up in Casualty didn't have any suggestions.

We'll see how it goes.
