gothams3rdrobinSo...finally managed to get Sym down to the Vee Eee Tee this morning.
It's a long slog on two buses, with a ten minute walk from the last bus stop to the PDSA's PetAid hospital, but we managed it with little problem today. It was a little embarrassing though, as I could smell Sym had done something on his towel during the first bus journey... *chuckles*
By the time we saw the Vet, he had done a nice big wee on the towel and there were more small panic-poos in the box than we've had in his tray all week. The vet checked his stomach and said there was a small amount of solids still in his system to get rid of, but all he needed was to be prescribed some laxitive and brought back for a check up next week.
On the way home he did another little panic-poo on the newspaper they relined his carrybox with for me, but the upside of this is that his back passage now looks almost close to normal again. I'm sure he will feel a lot better for it, once he gets over his stress from having to GO ONNA BUS OMGWTFBBQ!!1!!! *grins*
He's had a good wash, and is currently exploring around his travel box - I always leave it on the floor in the living room for a few days after a vet trip, so he can sorta get used to seeing it around and not panic. Especially when I know he's got to go for a return visit.... *is sneaky*
He's still not putting his backside down properly when he's kitty-loafing, but I think it's probably quite sore at the moment.
Now I have the joys of squirting laxative down his throat a couple of times a day! *waves flag* And we have my neighbour coming in to feed him for me this weekend.... I almost wish I could get Dad to do it for me, since he's pretty fond of Sym and has helped me medicate him in the past, but such is life. I did ask Mam if she'd feed the animals for me, but she asked me to check if my neighbour couldn't do it instead :-p Too much hassle to make that five minute walk over, I gather....
