Random musings to wake my brain up...
...since the work I'm doing right now is mind-numbing in its routine-ness.
Fics I sometimes wish I could write, because of the job I do;
A due South story where Ray gets grief from the Underwriters about the number of claims/changes of vehicle done since a Mr B Fraser got placed onto his policy. With a side-thing where they're a little curious about why Mr Vecchio's voice seems to have changed...
(I don't imagine I could do this properly anyway, since US car insurance is apparently quite different from the UK.)
A Torchwood story where Ianto's having to make another claim regarding the SUV, and also taking Owen and Tosh off the policy....
(I have a feeling this story wouldn't hold water anyway, though, since I don't imagine they can get regular insurance for the SUV for a number of reasons - I suspect all costs there are covered in-house, as it were.)
Meh....I don't have the creative brain-power right now anyway. But it would be a momentary amusement for me. :-)
Right, back to the brain-melty....times like this I wish I could drink coffee. Plus I'm having a sugar-crash since there was a charity cake-sale this morning and Jo brought in some more of her brownies....

I think what I had in mind was that he's had to inherit RayV's insurance, and is now insuring the GTO after the last Riv got totalled. It's now time for renewal, and the underwriters are seriously rating on the large number of claims (and changes of vehicle - all Riv's till now! *wink*) in the last year or so since Ben got put on the policy.
He's calling to ask why he's being rated on so heavily (since he can't remember most of these incidents, unsurprisingly), and also has to go through the hurdle of remembering RayV's birthdate. ;-)
