It's chaos around here at the moment...

We're supposed to be going out for an extended lunch in about two hours, as the manager's going on maternity leave this week - only she's just gotten an early indicator of going into labour....

So we're all rushing around getting her presentation ready, 'cause she's been told by the midwife to go home and rest. And it's unlikely she'll be back now....

Everyone's crowding around, all at sixes and sevens! :-) It's kinda funny.

We had something like that happen at work just recently One of my staff went into labour month early, which of course threw everyone out, not least the people who were organising her going away party!

Hee - it often works out that way, doesn't it! I'm so glad it didn't happen to me, as I was going to London for a Stargate convention the day my Maternity leave started - but then, I had a month still to go myself. My job at the time was a little too physical to stay till the last minute.

Louise didn't come into work today, like she was saying she was going to, but there's no word either. So I'm assuming she's just sticking to midwife advice and putting her feet up ;-) First-time mums are always pretty nervous, understandably.
