A week late, but this is me! ;-)

In the First Class carriage on the Watercress Line.

Melly! :-D

Will and Christopher

At the engine sheds

Back on the train again

The really awesome Bagpuss cake Mel's mother made!

Having chips on the beach wall at Barry Island

Looking for seashells on Jackson Bay

On the ramble path near Nell's Point

On the rocks at Whitmore Bay

Swinging away at the park

Whitmore Bay - the main beach at Barry Island

The Promenade

Whitmore Bay from Nell's Point

Jackson Bay from Nell's Point - I'd totally forgotten this little beach was even there, till I turned the corner and saw it.

If you look carefully, you can just make out Flatholm Island - as featured in the Torchwood second season episode 'Adrift' *grins* It wasn't as clear a day as I would have liked - you can see it from a couple of miles into mainland Barry then, and Barry Island's not as close as, say, Penarth, so it took maximum zoom to get even this.

Date: 2008-04-07 05:10 pm (UTC)I've never actually seen that kind of swing till it was installed at Roath Park. It's the kind where several kids can pile on and swing together, which is a fun idea. I expect a couple of adults could too, if they were inclined ;-)
*chuckles about the Cubs* I'm not sure which team is better, the Cubs or the White Sox *is watching last night's Sox/Tigers game right now* But I've seen at least one person in a Mariners jacket, and was insanely jealous *sigh* Normally all you see around here is Yankees merchandise *scowls* It's the MLB equivalent of Manchester United.
But, to answer your question *grins* it's just a cheap jacket in a pilot/bomber style. Not even real leather, not like the one my friend in Louisiana sent when he was a year old - that was a gorgeous jacket.
