Opinions needed

OK guys - like I said yesterday, there's a plant growing competition at work.

I couldn't decide what I wanted to grow, so I picked up two different kinds. I've potted them up today, and they both look kinda cool.

So, what do you guys think?

EDT: So far, two votes for the folliage, one for the cacti...and I have a black thumb....

First one!

I have no idea what it is. But cacti disturb me. So. :D

LOL! It's just a mix of small foliage - there were no specific species named on the tags.

It is kinda cute, but I worry I'll kill it off pretty quickly. And my desk doesn't get an awful lot of sunlight.

I like both of them, but though I generally find cactii to be "cute" (and I don't know why, so don't ask), I prefer the first one. It looks more... lush, I guess.

I don't understand the attraction of cacti either, though for me it's a definite nostalgia thing.

Potting them up was a nightmare though - I was trying so hard not to get prickled! *chuckles*

I have a soft spot for cacti *reads that back, blinks at the "not-right"ness of it* but I say go for the first one. Few people appreciate cactus when it comes to competition. I think they think they're a "lazy", low matenance plant.

From a purely practical standpoint, someone's less likely to steal the cactii since they're all spiky. ;)
