Work is fun at the moment. So much fun!

*disengages sarcasm mode*

Obviously I can't go into any real detail, but they've decided to basically do away with the four separate brands run by our parent company, and intergrate the Sales, Customer Service and Renewals teams together. As we're split between two offices, one here and one in Swansea, we're each dealing with the work of two brands.

What this means for us, since the customers shouldn't notice any difference, is that we have to learn how the other brand functions as well as doing the work we're familiar with. Trouble is, each brand has its own separate procedures, reports and system-generated letters - and we're having a nightmare getting our heads around it! *sigh* You would think they'd realise which procedures work the smoothest, then introduce them company-wide, right? Ohhh no. That'd be too logical.

They set a deadline of about two weeks time to be fully up to speed, then set us all to work after an hour's briefing last week... Last week we were taking cross-brand incoming calls, which was okay, but this week we're also doing the reports. And that's been nothing but a headache *sigh*

Right now, I'm waiting for one of the managers to get back to me about where on the network I'll find the printer I need to send a free-format letter to a customer from the other brand. If I was sending it out through the database, it'd be fine, but I need to do this through Word and print it off here so I need more than just the printer's ID code...

Well, at least they've decided we're all automatically getting a productivity score of 110% this week, while we try to sort this out.

I am so leaving on time today.
