Rowan still seems to have a bad stomach, so I'm taking him to the doctor this morning. This means an additional day off work for me which, while it's nice to not have to work, means I won't get paid for today.

Plus there's no refund at the summer camp. Apparently if I'd called yesterday (when I was still hoping he'd be well enough to go in today) I could have claimed a credit against a later session. Let's just hope he's not signed off for the entire week, as I can't afford to lose a week's pay and three days camp fees all in one fell swoop.

If anyone at work thinks I'm taking today off to finish Harry Potter? I will swing for them.

[livejournal.com profile] out_there and I were briefly talking about other buildings near the 'Tourist Office' entrance to Torchwood - espeically the pubs! *grins*

I thought it might be useful to make a kind of map showing where some of these places are, for reference purposes. So I went on Googlemaps to get the satellite image - shame the picture hasn't been updated for several years *rolls eyes* It doesn't even show the Millenium Centre, let alone The Senydd, and there are loads more boats moored in the the Bay than this picture shows.

Cutting for the f-lists of those not interested )

Gah!

We're having the first nice day in almost a fortnight - and the only one forcasted for the rest of the week, so I'm making the most of my enforced stay at home and getting the large items in my laundry done.

As most of you know, I live in a block of flats with a shared garden - which we also share with the nearest of the other four blocks of flats on this estate. This makes me very reluctant to put my washing out on the rotary line outside my kitchen window when I'm not going to be home. As a result, I have a difficult time getting things line-dried.

I've managed to get four loads done over the course of the day, and it's still a gorgeous, warm afternoon - but my line's no longer getting any sun. The last of the blocks is casting a shadow over it.....

Gonna take hours to get the last of my towels, and the sofa cover, dried now. And they'll probably need finishing off in the tumble dryer anyway.

*huffs about the unfairness of it all*
