It is not my fault that I don't dare take any vacation time at the moment. The council are supposed to be renovating my kitchen and bathroom by the end of the calendar year - who do you think is going to have to stay around the flat to supervise them while the work's going on?
That's right, me.
And are work going to allow me to take that time off if I don't have any holidays left? No.
So, while I'm waiting for them to get their acts together and actually come do the work, I can't use any of my remaining holiday allowance.
Like I told you, I'm tired. I need to take some time off. It would be lovely if I could take a week before Rowan starts school, so we both have some kind of summer vacation. But I can't.
So stop with the "Yeah right, whatever" tone of voice, okay?
