Jul. 10th, 2006 09:20 pmI would very happily have stayed home from work today, had the opportunity been there.
I managed to drag myself in, though the mere act of walking up the stairs from my basement flat made me lightheaded. I thought I'd gotten past that, but I guess a day of wandering the flat in your nightclothes doesn't give you much indication of how you actually are.
Plus I was very sore all day since I wasn't able to wear leggings to work. As a result I was getting in and out of my desk-chair very gingerly and shuffling around the office when I had to move around.
Only my manager asked how I was feeling - not that I advertised the fact I was having surgery, so it's not surprising really. I did show her the nice big yellow bruise you can see under the skin of my left hand, where the IV was inserted. *grins* Always loved 'sympathy-bruises' - I had a doozie on my inner-arm following an ante-natal appointment where a nurse snagged me while taking the routine blood sample. That stayed around for weeks
Now I'm home - and Rowan's finally settled - it's time to do some laundry and mess around on
jla_watchtower, where we're holding a virtual Superhero convention called 'CapeCon' *grins* So far it's going well.
Oh and Pamela? They're delivering the parcel to my local Post Office tomorrow morning, so I'll be able to go collect it on my way home from work! *bounces happily*
