gothams3rdrobin: (doctor who)
Rowan did several naughty things while we were out today, so he was bathed and put to bed before Doctor Who came on this evening.

Of course, this didn't mean he stayed in bed.

I watched the episode - Cybermen! Eeee! Roger Lloyd Pack as a bad guy! *hides* - and followed it pretty well, but spent a great deal of the forty-five minutes threatening that if he didn't get his cute little arse back in that bed right now I was gonna smack him.

Needless to say, his backside hasn't gone entirely unscathed.

He's developed this little trick of hiding in the hallway - sometimes forgetting to stay far enough out so I can't see him reflected in the glass of my china cabinet...

I had kinda intended to record it anyway, as I was very much in need of a non-Christmassy Who icon *points at icon, this being a not-so-gratuitous icon post* I don't know if the rest of the UK sees it, but BBC Wales likes to boast at the start of the show *grins*

I only recognised one location they used this week, though I'll doubtless spot more in the future. The scene where everyone stops for the latest information-download was filmed on Mount Stuart Square, where my Nan used to work. They're standing alongside what used to be a branch of Barclays Bank, where she opened my first bank account for me.

I didn't realise till last week that the episode 'School Reunion', with Sarah-Jane and K9, was filmed in part at my old high school. The science class in which the Doctor makes his first appearance of the episode was in one of our labs - though there are dozens, so I can't be sure if I was ever in there - and they used our swimming pool. This confused me as I have no recollection of that door down at the deep end, but then it's been twelve years...

My old housemate Tim was present for the filming of a scene for Torchwood last week too. Apparently it involved a doctor/scientist blokie leaving a nightclub with a woman, only to be chased by her boyfriend demanding to know where they thought they were going. The doctor/scientist then sprays either them or himself (there were apparently multiple takes with different scenarios) and the three of them end up jumping in a taxi together....*waggles eyebrows* This and a certain amount of swearing indicated to Tim that this series is definately destined for BBC3 rather than the mainstream BBC1.

Should be interesting.
