*feeling sleepy and sore*

Busy day today - Mam collected us at nine am 'cause she wanted to go out to Newport for new windscreen wipers for the car. She unfortunately has a model of car that's increasingly hard to find parts for, and doesn't conform with any of the industry standards. Needless to say the repair costs are starting to do her head in and she's trying to scrap together enough funds to replace it, provided she can get a decent price for it.

After that we headed out to look for a new mattress for my bed, and a replacement wardrobe. I was gonna order them from Argos, but it takes up to two weeks for them to deliver and I can't guarantee I'll be home to meet the delivery. So we went to IKEA, spent an absolute age checking out the wardrobes as I had a limited budget from the insurance claim. Buying the mattress was extra too, since I couldn't claim for it. Came away with a three door wardrobe with built in shelving, a mattress, a cover for my sofa that matches the chairs I have, and a laundry basket. Spent double my budget, all in all, and it's being delivered tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be worth it.

All I gotta do now is get my carpet delivered. Tried to arrange that yesterday, but I was too late for the weekend delivery. So I gotta arrange it for next week, and then I'll finally be able to move back into my own bedroom - for the first time since August.

That will be such bliss.
