TGI....Thursday?
Feb. 16th, 2006 08:20 pmYup. No work tomorrow, as I have workmen visiting again. This time they're upgrading my central heating system.
Something most of the rest of the block had done in August.
This means another day off work, but I intend to make this up next week as I don't know what I'm going to need the rest of my holiday allocations for. Wasting them all in the Spring just to get this place sorted out would be insanity. Spent most of the last day or so's free time clearing out the floor in front of the radiators, and my airing cupboard - which wouldn't be an issue if I had my damn bedroom back....
They're gonna be upgrading my gas boiler in the kitchen, and placing it high up in the cupboard. This means I get to use the rest of it for storage, which is very much of the yay. Same again with my airing cupboard out in the hall, as they're completely removing that antiquated water tank that's been causing me so much trouble and replacing it with a radiator. Apparently. This again means storage for me, plus I'll still be able to use that cupboard to air my towels. Plus they're fitting a special radiator in the bathroom! No more freezing when I get out of the bath!
So I'll likely be around a fair bit tomorrow, as Mam's dropping Rowan to Nursery for me in the morning.
Right now I'm watching the footage of yesterday's Brit Awards - Prince is doing a performance, and it's pretty good. Also seen The Kaiser Chiefs doing 'I Predict A Riot' - anyone into AOR who hasn't heard of them really should check them out. They're really good.
