Good home wanted....
Jan. 7th, 2006 10:19 pmFor a nearly-new, hardly-ever-played VHS copy of 'Muppets In Space' in NTSC format.
I've had it since it first came out - my soon-to-be-ex-husband bought it for me when we were in college. Unfortunately he ordered it from Amazon.com, not realising that he should have been buying it from Amazon.co.uk!
You'd think the fact it hadn't even hit the UK cinemas at the time would have suggested something...
So I've only been able to watch it maybe the once, when we had access to my former room-mate's all-singing, all-dancing entertainment system. And that was maybe five years ago now?
I recently discovered that the oh-so-cute and awesome Josh Charles was actually in that movie, and I was dying to see it but couldn't locate a VCR that could play the tape. So I finally caved in and got the DVD off Amazon - couldn't find it in the shops anywhere - and it arrived last night. Man, his two scenes are hysterical! He gets into a Judo fight with Miss Piggy!!! How freakin' awesome!
So...whoever wants it, I will accept Nutter Butters in payment ;-)
In other news it was the staff Children's Christmas party today - which means the season is now officially over. This was further evidenced by the fact Cadbury's have once again released their Creme Eggs on sale in preparation for Easter *chuckles* This is a wierd country at times - the stores start their Christmas hype in October, and no sooner have we gotten New Year's over the Easter eggs go on sale....
Rowan had a pretty good time, though he was tired. I still can't get over the present he got - a 'My First Leap Pad'! Holy shit, dude!
He already has a regular Leap Pad - cause I figured that would last longer. But still...wow.
My cold kept me up nearly all night last night - must have gotten maybe three hours sleep? It's all gone to my sinuses so I'm almost past the sneezing/runny nose stage and on to the pain in the cheekbones stage. And my right ear was really painful. It was like being in an aeroplane but not being able to swallow to relieve the pressure. And all day I've felt like I just got out of a swimming pool. My ear finally popped about eight this evening, but it's still not cleared up yet.
The Christmas decorations are all down now. Barely any sign that it was ever December. Thank goodness. And I have my hot water back again so I have a mountain of laundry to do - some of it is a rewash as it doesn't really work so well with cold water...
