I got hit with a little bit of a fic idea this morning, and there was no way I could go to bed without getting the damn thing out of my head...

So here we are. My first ever Sports Night fic, inspired by the song 'I Wanna Kiss The Bride' by Elton John. Radio One were trying to be cute/sarcastic while covering his wedding to his partner David today...

If you don't like the genre, or the pairing of Casey McCall/Dan Rydell - no need to click on the link. I'd love to know what people think though, as Sports Night's not an easy genre to write for.

I'm waiting for work at the moment - I'm almost an hour behind, but I don't particularly care right now.

We did our little bit of carol-singing lunchtime, all four of us. I think we did very well - harmonies and everything! - and the acoustics were in our favour. Our picture was taken, so it'll probably be in the company magazine next month.

I thought I was pleasantly embarrassed when my Managing Director put some money in our donation tin....I'm amazed I never fainted when the CEO of the whole company walked by and did the same!

Some guy from Claims came and added all the money he'd raised by shaving his head - several hundred quid, if I heard right! - to our collection, which we're giving to the big Disasters charity.

It was a lot of fun, and I'm pretty proud of our achievement considering we started off with about twenty people and even our Choir Master had to pull out citing work commitments.

Guess what I just heard while on hold to the Accounts department....
