I had a dream this morning, which freaked me out a little. As much for the fact I remember it, than for the content, as I never seem to remember my dreams lately.
Anyway, the dream had a little basis in reality, as it starts with me and Rowan being snuggled up in my bed, as was the case this morning. In the dream, I was disturbed by some odd noises and got up to investigae; going out into the hall I notice that my front door was slightly ajar, and someone appeared to be on the other side. I peer around my door to see this really dodgy bloke standing there, looking somewhat gormless. I think we exchanged words, though I was finding communication even harder in the dreamworld than it is in reality. I shut the door, clicked on the latch and slid the bolt across for good measure before returning to my bed.
I'm then sitting in bed messing around on my laptop, when I see some yobs peering in through my window (which is odd in of itself, as my curtains are generally closed), and I flip them the bird. I then realise that my window is wide open! I jump up to close it, and try locking it, but the lock just won't catch. I then go into Rowan's room to find his window's also open and won't lock either. In this dreamworld, it was suddenly possible to open the windows from the outside, so I was fretting about having to call the council out to fix my window locks. After a little fussing, I turn around to notice this girl in my room, looking a little sheepish, and the remains of a chinese meal on Rowan's bed! I challenged her about sneaking into my house and eating food in my child's bedroom, and that's pretty much all I remember. :-/ Still a little wierded out by it.
Can't have taken more than ten minutes to dream all this, though, as Rowan was only half asleep and kept wriggling and trying to talk to me even though he insisted he wanted to sleep. I was grumpy with him as Sunday is now my only day when I can get away with sleeping beyond seven thirty. We now have to be out of the house by that time on Saturdays in order to get him to his swimming lesson. *sigh* Me and early mornings do not mix well, and it wasn't especially pleasant to walk to the leisure centre before the sun had risen yesterday morning.
The swimming lesson seemed to go alright, though he's unsure about if he's going to enjoy continuing. We then hung around in the cafe eating chips till it was time to go upstairs for his dance class. After that it was another day with my mother, and we had to go get a gift for one of his school friends as he's off to a birthday party this afternoon. Right now he's listening to the tv with my headphones on, and looks like he's getting ready to play on his playstation for a bit; he's getting pretty good on Surfs Up, and he bought himself a new game based on the movie Cars last week. *grins* Me, I can only handle the High School Musical singing game - I spent hours the other night unlocking as many of the extra songs as I could, now we have a memory card - and I've finally figured out how to play the DS version too! *laughs*

Whenever I check on Rowan before I go to bed, I find myself checking his windows 'cause the road outside is deceptively loud and sounds like you'd hear it with the window open. Last night the dream had me extra unsettled, so it didn't help that Rowan had actually opened the little top window! *facepalms* With a little jiggery-pokery - the kind theives are well versed in - it would be possible to open the main window via the little one, and I don't keep the main window locked just incase Rowan and I ever needed to escape from it in an emergency.

Yup. I agree. Time to get the heck out of Dodge.
*big hugs*
