Any hope I had that my foot wouldn't be hurting me this morning were dashed pretty quickly - I only had to flex it as a I lay in bed. *sigh* So I called the surgery this morning while getting Rowan ready for school and *gasp* got straight through and was able to make an appointment!

Headed straight there after dropping Rowan off at school, and they were so quiet I was out again by the time my appointment time came around. The doctor's got no idea what's wrong with my foot, since there's no swelling or obvious stiffness, and it didn't hurt while she was examining me. So she told me to take some painkillers and keep off it as much as I can over the weekend *looks shifty as she prepares for a day where she does at least some housework...* Not sure that's gonna happen, but I will be taking it easy.

There's more strength to the theory that it's weather-related, as we have another sunny day today whereas it was miserable on Wednesday. Doesn't explain why it's still hurting me, but at least I can get the towels dried today!

Sounds like your GP's every bit as useless as every other GP I've ever met (and people wonder why I never go!). Did she also manage to make you feel like a hysterical, attention-seeking twit and/or a malingerer trying to skive a day off?

I hope it's not related to damp weather, that would be very bad news for someone living in the UK!

We actually have a set of about nine GPs and, while I have been assigned to a specific one, I rarely see him. But no, she was pretty sympathetic and was apologetic that she couldn't give me an answer.

It's very likely that you could do with a change of GP, hon. I do know how you feel as I've had negative experiences too; the GP we consider our 'family doctor' always seems in a rush to get you out of his office and, while he was the one to finally diagnose what was wrong with my Mam's back, was adamant I'd grow out of my stammer *snerk* So I didn't get any therapy till I was sixteen, which was too late. I found his son to be better, back when I was able to be on their books, but Mam's had the opposite experience and hates seeing him.

This is the odd thing - it was miserable on Wednesday, and my knee ached like mad. But yesterday and today it's been sunny! I don't get it... I have been known to have trouble with my knees and my hands in the damp, cold weather, but this is ridiculous!

My right hand is hurting for some reason, although it's probably from spending so much time on the computer. I hope you foot feels better soon. Ignore the housework if you can, I say. Who really cares about a little bit of dust in the face of sore feet?

*sympathy* I have hand problems too sometimes. Horrid isn't it! Hope it gets better.

Thank you! Alas, the clothes and dishes won't wash themselves, and Rowan's still a little too young to be of much help. Not that he doesn't try, bless him.
