Note to my colleague...

You know how you're never really interested in having a proper conversation with me? Well then why, when you're having a whinge about the policyholder or job you're currently dealing with, do you direct your mutterings at me? There are other people equally close, with whom you actually want to talk.

*sighs*

I haven't been having the best of days today, since even though we got out of the house on time today I still ended up having to spend six quid on a taxi to the school when two buses sailed past us full of high school kids and commuters. And the kids'll almost all be getting off the bus two stops down the road, but that's a little too far to walk Rowan each morning considering we have a bus stop only a minute or two outside our own house.

And then another full bus sailed past me on Albany Rd, on the second leg of my journey to work.

If I had the confidence, this would almost encourage me to bite the bullet and learn to drive....

On the upside, Jo brought me in a brownie today! *grins* Pecan and white chocolate! That cheered me right up.

My turn for the team bake-off is this Monday - anyone have any good, simple cake recipies I could try?

I had the bus rushing past thing happen to me the other day. It's very frustrating a quite annoying, isn't it?

I do have a very simple recipe for a melt and mix chocolate cake. It's my favourite chocolate cake recipe and it never lets me down!

Mmmmmm.....that's actually along the lines I was thinking of. Will have to try that out on the weekend.

My family's been making a double-chocolate cake for years that is devoured eagerly by everyone. It doesn't even require a mixer. I can toss it your way, if you like.

By the way, cariad...I want to be from the UK so I can say words like 'whinge'.

*hug*

Hee - comments like that make me glad to be Welsh :-) I often worry that my writing on the 'net's too generic, since I need to be understood. I like speaking in a dialect, really.
