One thing I hate about being a part-timer in my office is the fact I have lunch at a different time than everyone else. I only get twenty minutes, which I take at noon as it breaks my day up. The others go on lunch for an hour at one thirty - and if the work runs out, how am I supposed to get more? Even if my management team are sitting at their desks during lunch, I have a job getting work as I'm usually met with the response of "Can you go see *other manager*, I'm on lunch?"
Yes, I can see you're on lunch. So are all the other management on this department! Am I supposed to go ask the *phones* managers for work???
Common sense would dictate that there be a work reprint at one thirty every afternoon, surely? That way I don't have to bother anyone.
And don't get me started on the "Why don't you just ask one of your colleagues to do that callback for you instead of emailing the managers?" Sure - I enjoy the sighs and rolled eyes!
