There was much consumption of chocolate today
And there's likely to be more this evening. Plus icecream.
In a brief moment of TMI, let me just state that the cramps have finally taken hold, after nearly a week *snark* Hence the high chocolate consumption. But at least this means there's a good chance I'll be pain-free by Thursday.
Had to negotiate with a very tearful Rowan after school yesterday; he and Isaac had apparently been discussing the idea of Isaac coming over to play and, as five year olds are prone to do, he'd worked himself up into quite a frenzy about it. So he was very distressed that, by the time he could tell me his big plan, Isaac had already headed home. He didn't want to listen to me explain - again - that I needed to talk to the other kid's mother before we could plan something like that.
We were still arguing about it halfway down the park, while I was texting Jen to see when would be a good day. The good thing about it being Isaac, is that I have those extra lines of communication. With most other parents I'd have to wait till I saw them again in the school yard.
By the end of the evening, we'd tentatively agreed that Isaac would come and play after school on Thursday. Which is cool with me as I don't have any plans for the early evening - or any other part of that night, if I'm honest. So today I helped Rowan to tidy up his room somewhat (it's not perfect, but it's a vast improvement) and I plan to take him shopping after school tomorrow.
First time we've had one of the kids here...should be an adventure.
