Why is it I can walk to work in the pouring rain - with no umbrella - almost every day for a week without catching a cold and now, two weeks later, I feel one brewing?
Man...I hate getting colds. Plus this is lady-pain week, so Sammi is not a happy bunny today.
Stayed up till midnight reading due South amnesia-fics (there was a new rec-list posted on one of the comms last night) and then Rowan came to join me at about three am again. Ended up shouting at him to be quiet and go to sleep 'cause he kept trying to talk to me....*sigh* Then he wouldn't get up this morning, when we were already running behind, so he was late for school.
Ah well - at least I've finally been able to get my rent and student loans sorted out this week. My Family Allowance back-payments finally hit my account this morning *relief* so I called the council when I stopped for lunch today - which means I've had to eat my sandwiches while working, which is not good as it slows me down. Having a twenty-minute lunchbreak is hell, I'm telling you.
So now they won't be on my back about my arrears, and I know how much I need to amend my standing order to. Plus the Student Loan Co have let me spread what I owe them across three months so, while I could do with not having the extra payments going out, at least I know it's going to be cleared. Now if I could only get my OU course fees refunded, all would be cool....*grumbles* They still haven't answered the email I sent on Monday about that.
Two hours to go till I'm free...till tomorrow anyway.

Date: 2007-01-31 06:55 pm (UTC)The plan is to have a bath (my bath-tub has drained enough for me to be able to have a proper bath today), stay up long enough to take my next round of cold-meds and then call it a night. We'll see how I go.
Ah...

Date: 2007-02-02 09:04 pm (UTC)Generally I'm fine; sniffles mostly, and my abdomen no longer hates me, which is a relief.
Like I said last night - we're gonna be on Crwys Rd till 5.30 tomorrow evening, if you want to pop back with us after the party. I should hopefully have an idea by then of what's happening Sunday. *hugs*

Date: 2007-02-02 10:11 pm (UTC)Rowan's friend Mark's having a party at Woodville Rd Christian Centre, 3.30 till 5. Not sure what we're doing up till then, though I intend to make use of Mam's facilities before we go. *mutters darkly about delays in council repairs* Depending on how wiped Rowan is afterwards, we'll either go home or back to my parent - it's the only time my Dad gets to see him really, unless he's around while I'm waiting for the in-laws on Sundays.
