It'll be constant from now until New Year, I'm afraid. When I was a kid, you only had fireworks on Guy Fawkes Night, and never any other time of year, for anything else. But I suppose there's money in it, so ...

Yep - my mother works on the Home & Leisure department at ASDA, as did I for a while. It's definitely a money thing *sigh*

I completely understand you with the trick or treat thing - I spend Halloween pretending I'm not in. You never know who's really on the other side of the door, plus very often the kids are ungrateful little brats anyway.
