Uh oh...

I think I am definitely coming down with something...I'm achy, my throat's scratchy, plus the smell of someone's coffee is making me crave a cup of tea...

Anyone who knows me will know I don't voluntarily make myself a cuppa unless I'm sick - I prefer to drink water. Tea's something I drink when visiting other people, or when people are visiting me.

Gah...

*Makes you a great big cup of English Breakfast with milk and sugar* I hope you're feeling better soon sweetie. No fun.

On a happy note, your package arrived! The postman decided to cram them into this tiny hole we sometimes call a mailbox. I had to brace my leg against the wall for counter weight and PULL to get them out. Miraculously, they weren't damaged in the least! Should I give them to her now or wait until her birthday?

English Breakfast is nothing compared to Tetley ;-)

I'm doing okay - just sniffy and stuff. Been keeping myself full of cold remedy and I'm getting through it.

Yay! Glad they got there, but guh for the postie getting it stuck! Knew I should have marked them 'handle with care'! *grumbles*

They're intended for her birthday, so provided the packaging's not too damaged they can keep to include with her birthday mail ;-)

The packaging I'm sorry to say was completely unsalvageable. BUT... it did a pretty darn good job of protecting the books. I managed to get them into the house without her seeing them and stash them away in a high location. Safely out of reach and out of view until her birthday. :D

Us Moms can be sneaky can't we? ;-)

It's part of our job description! *grins*

It totally skipped my mind to get wrapping paper for the books first *facepalms* We pretty much bought them and took them to the post office. I'll let you make a judgement call on how to present them to her.

It's probably just as well. The paper wouldn't have lasted the trip. I've got some extra around here. I'll take care of it. No worries. :)
