Song Meme!

This is a twist on the Letter Meme. Instead of coming up with ten items for a certain letter, you come up with five song titles for a certain letter and explain why you picked them. If interested then leave a comment. I'll give you a letter. You post this blurb in your journal along with your list.

- Sewn by The Feeling - I love this song so much. The lines "Danny-boy, don't be afraid to shake that ass and misbehave." caught my attention right away. This is a new band and I've loved all three of their singles, so I picked up their album tonight while at the supermarket. It's nice, easy-listening stuff with just enough rock in it to keep me happy.
- Sail Away Sweet Sister by Queen - I love pretty much anything Queen did, unless it was an early album track performed by the drummer, Roger Taylor. Songs like 'I'm In Love With My Car' just didn't appeal to me.
- So Why So Sad by the Manic Street Preachers - they're a Welsh band who've made at least a national impact, even if they haven't gone global, and their songs are full of social commentary. Plus they're bloody catchy!
- Ship Of Fools by Erasure - this is one of those songs I heard in school that just spoke to me. That happens a lot. "Do we not sail on the ship of fools? Why is life so precious and so cruel?" Music speaks to my emotions, and maudlin lines like that can resonate with me just as much as upbeat songs like Brian May's 'On My Way Up'.
- Sweet Child O'Mine by Guns N Roses - an absolute classic. The recent dance cover of it was painful until I got used to it.
