I look absolutely ridiculous in my baseball cap.

You know what else?

I. Do Not. Care.

We're in the middle of a heatwave, so I can count the number of days I haven't worn my hat on my hands and still have digits left over. And the times when I've left it behind and the weather has improved, I've noticed how much of a difference the hat makes at keeping the sun out of my eyes. Particularly when I'm walking along the park after work to collect Rowan - there's a corner by the library where the sun really blinds you.

So who cares if hats don't suit me!

Besides, it was sent to me by one of the sweetest people I know. And another good UK friend would have gotten it for me if it weren't for the ridiculous shipping fees charged by MLB.com.

I love my cap.

I understand totally. I had a sideline cap for the Washington Redskins that I used to wear all the time, just because it was a cap of my team. Then my friend got me a coaches' cap, which I wore religiously until someone stole it out of my car.

Oh, that sucks! I hate when that happens!

Mostly all I see are Yankees caps around here - that's the only official cap you can get in this country. I did see a guy with a Red Sox cap last week, but he probably got it from the US himself.
