Ok, that's it

I'm taking the plushies and stuff home today.

Came in this morning to find Kermit straddling my desk thermometer again, and yesterday he was in a very slashy tableau with Beaker. Again.

It was funny the first time but now I'm getting seriously pissed off.

So I'm gonna throw a silent strop worthy of my son and take them all home with me where no-one can mess around with them. If they think I'm childish, then they can bite me.

People are so infantile. :(

Aren't they just. It's not like I'm a misery-guts either, but my patience isn't limitless.

It has been my experience that anyone who feels the need to say "Can't you take a joke?" is trying to justify their own sense of humor.

The next time someone asks me, "Can't you take a joke?" I'm tempted to respond with "Yes. Can you make one?"

Hee - good one! I'll have to remember that.

It is tempting, but that kind of response tends to provoke the idiots into a battle of wits. And I hate fighting an unarmed man.

Heh, absolutely. Once was kinda amusing, especially as my thermometer is kinda phallic. I even smiled the second time, but after that....*rolls eyes*

Just to play devil's advocate, here - how public have you made the fact you don't find this funny anymore? I mean, if there was a positive reaction th first few times, whoever's doing it might think you still find it funny. You'd be suprised how many people don't get the concept of a joke wearing out.

That's a really difficult one to answer - I don't really fit in on the team, you see. The last several times I've pretty much just rolled my eyes and straightened everything back up again.

I have been known to turn up at my desk and ask "Who's been moving my stuff around?" but there's a limit to how often I feel I can do that without seeming a tad pyschotic. No way I could stand there and demand to know who's been messing with my cuddly toys *chuckles* I'd think who ever did that was crazy myself.

I did say something to my manager, who sits right next to me and has to have seen it too, but she kinda muttered non-commitally.

So, I figure the best thing I can do is take them all home with me before I blow a gasket and I get pulled aside for inappropriate conduct.

*nods* that's fair.
