Fun with Googlemaps!

My parents discovered the other week that if you click on Satellite View on Google Maps you see actual still-images of the places you're checking out. It's amusing them to work out how long ago these photos were taken, as a lot of Cardiff looks different.

Thought I'd share a few locations.

And a couple that might interest unkaphaed:
This is Loudon Square, where a lot of the scenes from Doctor Who are filmed. For example, the episode where Rose sees her father, and when Mickey gets a towtruck to pull something out of the Tardis.


And, to show how old these shots are, this is the section of Cardiff Bay where the Tardis was parked during the... Bad Wolf episode, I think? The Millennium Centre hadn't been built at the time, but the tall metal water fountain's already there.
