So...

Didn't manage to make it in early enough to make my hour up at the start of the shift - though we were out of the house by eight thirty again, so that's something.

However, I just negotiated with my supervisor to bank the two hours this month where I've stayed on after my finish time - for team meetings and stuff. So I only need to make one more hour up and I'll do that either
tomorrow or Friday. Tonight, I have to get up to the carpet store.

Sheesh - Gareth Thomas the rugby captain has ended up on the sick for a damaged artery in his neck after a nasty interview on Sunday night following the resignation of the team's boss. This is kinda unsettling for me as I actually saw the interview - my TV was on that channel while I was settling Rowan to bed and tidying up after him. It was a pretty nasty discussion too - Gareth looked about ready to...well, burst an artery, I guess!

You know what freaks me out? Every time Radio One plays this bugle call, at about two thirty. I instinctively look at my computer's clock wondering if it's three o'clock already - they play that on ASDA FM every 3pm to warn the staff to get ready for the 4pm rush.... I haven't worked there in nearly
three years, and I was rarely there at three. It shouldn't still be so ingrained....

One of these days they'll follow it with Ant & Dec's 'Lets Get Ready To Rumble' and I will fall out of my chair....

*sigh* Better get back to it. Been adding to this email periodically all afternoon as things occurred to me, but I have to go on time tonight.

ha! wow I soooo remember that call! I don't think they do that anymore...at least they don't in the store Im in now. Thank God! It was sooo cheesy. I ended up singing along with it and still knew all the works to Lets Get Ready to Rumble. Yes I am that sad! Hopefully Im going for the grad scheme so there will be less cheesyness soon! x

*grins* Something tells me there will never be an end to the cheese - just be grateful they never brought in the Wal*Mart wiggle!

My Dad always says ASDA stands for 'Anything Sensible Doesn't Apply'! ;-)

Good luck with the grad scheme! My cousin got into management before that was started, though I think they're putting her on some kind of 'stepping stones' thing at the moment.
