So long full-time employment....
As of next tuesday, (monday is a Bank Holiday), I will be going down to part-time hours at work - ten till three, to be exact.
Reason being, I don't get enough time with Rowan. We rush through the morning, to get him/me to nursery/work by eight AM depending on the week, and I tend to have to leave him alone to eat his breakfast while I shower and dress. Then at night, I barely have enough time to feed him, bath him and put him to bed. If I'm on the later shift, I pretty much get back when it's time to take him up to bed.
This, frankly, isn't good enough.
Hopefully I'll be ok financially. There are a few provisions for single parents on a low wage.
Gonna be nice to be able to do the nursery run without rushing in the mornings, and I'll even be able to take him to the park on the way home when the weather's nice.
