... and no, no-one let Jack Harkness loose with some duct tape, nor did Ianto finally indulge him in his office fetish ;-)

I rarely have time for breakfast before we leave the house in the mornings, but I do often manage to pick something up on the way in to work. In the winter months I have always preferred to have porridge for breakfast, and I found that the one being served in McDonalds is a satisfactory substitute for the Scotts Porage Oats my Dad used to make before school in my childhood. Not as good, naturally, but it will do.

Now, since I don't much like sugar or jam on my porridge, I used to opt for the pancake syrup option to flavour the porridge. But I quickly got sick of the stupid twit who sits near me proclaiming loudly "I smell curry, why can I smell curry?", plus it didn't taste as good as it should, so I picked up a tin of Golden Syrup. Makes it taste almost identical to Dad's porridge.

However, it seems something knocked the tin on its side last week, and for the past several days it was slowly trickling its contents down inside the under-desk filing cabinet I keep odds and ends in. *sigh* So I spent about half an hour after work this afternoon cleaning the syrup off the bottom of the drawer. Thankfully nothing vital was damaged!

Next time I'm in ASDA, though, I'm buying the bottled syrup, not the tin....

My next assignment is due noon Wednesday and, while I've managed to meet the required word-count, I am entirely lost on how to conclude the essay for part two.

I think the problem is that I have spent the last six years having to outline things in as few words as possible. And the conclusion is usually "I hope this helps! Should you have any further questions, our Customer Service team are available on...."

Here's what I have so far... )

Any tips folks?
