Who works on Christmas Eve, honestly?
Dec. 24th, 2009 11:53 amWe're all going home at noon - 15 minutes from now - and the atmosphere's....well, it's not much different to school on the last day of term!
My manager just got us all on a conference call with our supervisor, to check how far she's gotten on her journey home (no-where, apparently, they're just setting off) and we all sang Jingle Bells down the line to her *grins* Not that you can hear that well when there's so many people on the call.
Since then, my manager's been calling random extension numbers through the office, pretending to be Santa and wishing people Merry Christmas.
This is a crazy office....
Looking forward to going home; my Nan and Uncle are collecting me from the office (in ten minutes now!) and then we're collecting Rowan from his friend Laurence's house on our way home. Then we get pressies! \O/ *is six*
I may have to cook the Christmas Turkey for my Mam today, as her oven's playing up.... hopefully Dad will have succeeded in his efforts today and it won't be necessary, 'cause I can't cook anything properly in my oven - especially a bird. I will be making Pear & Apple jelly (what you US people call 'Jello') this evening though, as a treat for my Dad - he loves pear-flavour things. Made a test batch last night, and it wasn't too bad, so hopefully it'll be even nicer if I leave it to set overnight rather than the specified two hours.
