Baseball is back!!!
Mar. 5th, 2009 07:25 pmAlright, so it's the World Classic, but hey! It's a ballgame! China vs Tokyo, and we're only in the first inning with no-one having scored so far.
This is a major reason why I got my V+ box - so I can tape the Seattle and Baltimore games, since they never seem to be on at a time when I can watch.
Of course I am now starting to get into shows on TV again - I have phases where I watch nothing, followed by phases where my head is zinging back and forth between the laptop and the TV like I'm at a tennis match! *grins* At the moment it's 'House' and 'QI' (I'm on a Fry & Laurie kick...) and I've also been quite amused by the TV adaptation of 'Ladies of Letters' - retired, bitchy old women writing to each other....hee!
I've only had the V+ box a couple of weeks and it's hard-drive is already half full! *sighs* I've been taping 'Sue Thomas FB-Eye' off Hallmark, and 'Murdoch Mysteries' off Alibi, with the intention of keeping them till I can burn them to discs - or they see sense and release them on DVD, whichever comes first. Along with that I've been recording both the UK and US versions of 'Don't Forget The Lyrics' - that is a fabulous gameshow! And eighty-five percent of the time - possibly more, maybe - I know the answers! Trouble is there's two episodes of the US show every weekday...and those two hours, five times a week tend to add up...*laughs* I do need to get better at clearing them off.
Ah well - better pay a little more attention to the game. Second inning and still no-one's scored yet - and House is on in twenty-five minutes. Do I watch the game, or see if they manage to cure that swine, Dr Foreman? Dilemma! ;-)
