Hippo Bird-day to my little honeybee!

Seven years old *boggles*
Thanks to some canny use of the insurance settlement, I was able to get him a Wii for his birthday, along with a small selection of games - enough to last us for most of the next year, since he's getting a few more for Christmas too. He was really pleased, and was able to play after school this evening until it was time for the news.
(I'm waiting till everyone else goes to bed tonight before I have another little play myself... *wink*)
I took today and tomorrow off to do some more work on the flat - all the furniture is now built (aside from my bedside cabinet, which was buried under boxes in the bathroom but will only take about twenty minutes, so meh) and all that remains is to unpack and clean up. Of course, as anyone who's ever moved house will now, the unpacking can take days at the best of times. *rolls eyes* We need to be back in the house by Friday evening though, as my sister and niece are coming up from Devon for Rowan's birthday party on Saturday and need Mam's spare room for the night. We're having the party at the Hollywood Bowl down Cardiff Bay - at ten thirty in the morning! :-p I know they get busy there, but seriously. That's a daft time for parties.
I will at some point be inflicting picspammage on you; school concert, birthday party etc. I have video of the concert, but it's not all that interesting for anyone other than me *chuckles*
