What is it with me and shy retiring fictional characters who 'love pure and chaste from afar'?

I started watching 'Murdoch Mysteries' - a Canadian detective series based in Victorian Toronto - mainly because the lead is played by Yannick Bisson, who I became enamored with through 'Sue Thomas: FB-Eye', where he played the awesome Jack Hudson. (What is it with cute guys named Jack? That's three of them now! *grins*) It's like CSI, but set in the Victorian era - in fact they even made a quip in one episode, featuring Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, about how people would enjoy forensic-based murder mysteries in the future! *grins*

There's a marathon of the first season episodes on UKTV Drama this week, so I've been watching again, and hee! Murdoch and his pathologist, Dr Julia Ogen, are so damn cute!

She would totally be willing if he 'asked to court' her *grins* They just did a scene where he gave up on his self-control and planted one on her - and it turned out to be a momentary fantasy! Gah! *chuckles*

Eeee - she just asked him to join her for coffee! They're cute enough to give you diabetes! *laughs*
