Feb. 5th, 2007 08:15 pmIt's tutorial night again - and my tutor's not been able to get online! So we're being rescheduled to some other time. *is so relieved*
I was a couple of minutes late myself as I'd decided to get all those pesky update notices cleared from my desktop's sys-tray. Unfortunately, after the reboot Thunderbird suddenly didn't want to check my email. *sighs* I've noticed this kind of problem any time I've upgraded my AVG virus checker, or tried to fire up the email software before Zone Alarm has fully loaded, so I closed them both down and fired them back up. Of course, by the time Zone Alarm had reloaded (it is so damn slow!) I was panicking I'd be late for class. So much so I had my laptop booting up ready, just in case.
Ah well! *grins*
So...since when does LJ have a built-in spell checker? Okay, it's probably a good thing for me, but still! Weird.
Oh, and must teach Tim the lj-cut tag *chuckles* While I like getting to read the old stories (must type up some of my own...), I'd rather it not take up a full page of my f-list. It's so routine now I completely forget I had to try and figure that tag-code out myself a while back.
Watching tonight's Venezuela/Dominican Republic game over my shoulder. I missed last night's game - Puerto Rico, I think - 'cause it was supposed to start at 9.30, and at 9.45 they were covering extra time in the hockey game they were showing before it. I learned my lesson Friday night, thanks - it was scheduled to finish at midnight anyway.
Man...sleepy tonight! I did a good thing this evening though, and called my paternal grandparents to wish them a happy anniversary. That should earn me a couple of good-granddaughter points, right? Enough to last me a couple of weeks? Not that I didn't want to wish them well on their anniversary but, you know, phones...*shudders*
