gothams3rdrobin: (Danny reading)
We've managed to get through the morning routine surprisingly quickly today, so I'm making the most of the free time to do a little web-surfing. *grin*

Feeling much, much better today. Spent most of yesterday not doing much, mainly messing around on my PC, and had a bath before bed. I think it helped.

I kinda don't want to leave the house today anyway, 'cause I'm listening to the Chris Moyles Breakfast Show and Chris is AWOL after a night on the lash here in Cardiff *laughs* I'm gonna miss the last hour of the show travelling to the office. Hope the big lug's okay. He normally calls in within minutes of the show starting to say he's on his way - there've been a number of times the show has started with his sidekick Dave talking to him over the telephone.

Didn't get much fic-writing done last night - I'm just not finding the voices at the moment. I can manage for just long enough to set the scene, it seems, and then I lose it. Damn shame too 'cause I enjoy writing.

So they found Chris Moyle eventually. Apparently he was too wasted to go home last night. He reckons he phoned in before the show to warn his producer Rachel, but she never got the message. Which suggests there's someone within the BBC who got a wierd message from some drunk northerner this morning....*giggles*

Headed into Mothercare on the way home from work this evening to look at the price of carseats. There's new seatbelt legislation coming in during September which mean that I need to replace the car seat we currently use. Rowan's been sitting on a booster cushion for the last six months at least, mostly at Mam's insistance and partially because the removeable seat-back was falling apart anyway. Now, of course, he's going to have to sit in a proper car seat till he's about 135cm tall, which means I have to buy a new one.

I actually measured 135cm on the tape measure last night - it comes up to my shoulder! If I was only an inch or so shorter, and this rule applied to adults, I'd have to sit in a carseat come September! *shakes head in bemusement*

Those stories, plus... )

Okay, so I decided to watch my tape - it's the Mets/Cardinals game from last Wednesday. It amuses me that I'm now getting to see Glavine in action, considering how Dan had such a bee in his bonnet about him in that story. *grins*

They now have a regular American presenter for the Five coverage, who seems to be a better fit with Jonathan-the-idiot. His name is Josh Chetwynd, and I really think I should know who he is....can anyone possibly enlighten me?

Hmmm...I wonder if Dan and Casey would ever compare notes about the Umpires in the games. I bet the names must get familiar after a while.
