Well, this email thing should be working again now....
*mutters darkly about IT making changes without warning people....*
Technically, I should be in Swansea right now. Today is the AGM for the whole of the Admiral Group, and we're based in two offices; here in Cardiff, and one in Swansea. We've just changed sites in Swansea too, as they've decided to move as many of the Admiral staff as possible out there with the Diamond staff, leaving us at Elephant, and the guys from Bell here in Cardiff. This is because we're rapidly expanding and we're running out of space here - we share the Tower with several other companies and we're already the majority tenant. There's not much more room now.
Because we're split like that, what they do is they send half of us to Swansea for the morning to attend the AGM there, then half of Swansea come here in the afternoon for the one in Cardiff. It's supposed to ensure we maintain a certain level of cover.
There was no way I was going to be able to make it down here before eight this morning to get the coach out to Swansea, so I'm attending the Cardiff one this afternoon. As a result, I'm here in my team area with only my Manager (who swapped with one of the others) and Beki, who's apparently not going at all. I guess it's not surprising since she's leaving at the end of the week for the Police.
I think it's safe to say I'm gonna be pretty bored this morning, and it's unlikely I'll be able to scribble in my notepad during the AGM this afternoon. All I really wanna do is stretch out on my sofa with my laptop,
my 'due South' season one dvds on the TV, and mess around on LJ *sigh* Wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't blocked it here.
Ah well, suppose I'd better get ready to work....
