*feeling somewhat spaced out*
Sep. 6th, 2005 09:53 pmSo my little flood problem still hasn't been sorted out.
When you report repairwork to the Council, they assign a contractor to come deal. That contractor has a deadline in which to sort out the work. I finally got someone to come out after about a week of the floods starting (the first guy lied and said he'd been), but it was about to be the August Bank Holiday, so he warned me there would be nobody round to see to it till the following week.
In the meantime, the drains in the garden backed up, and the whole building was surrounded by an moat of dirty water. We reported this also, and they came the next day and drained it. This, evidently, is a lot more serious than a flooding bathroom.
Since the garden was drained, however, the flooding in my place got three times worse. To the point where I'm syphoning off the bowl catching some of the flow every single day. Before then, I had never had to clear it.
This also means that the room has gotten rather damp and has been that way for some time. I mentioned in an earlier post how the damp is now spreading into the ajoining rooms - including my bedroom, and therefore was making me rather sick.
( Updatedness. )
( To sleep, perchance to have stiff muscles. )
( Not only, but also.... )
