I hate technology.....

I have the final assignment for my college course due on wednesday, and due to the hell of moving - and the resulting exhaustion - I haven't had time to complete it. So I spent an hour or so after work this evening taking some more pictures for the project, as the ones I have are starting to degrade and the jpg compression is visible.

I was really impressed with them too, as far as I could tell just by looking at the little LCD screen on the back of my camera.

So I go to download them, but the folder they were going to already had files with the same designations, so the PC asked me if I wanted to overwrite them. I didn't want to do that, just in case I lost pictures I needed later. Now, the only options I was given were "Yes", "Yes to All" and "Skip". So I chose skip.

Big mistake.

In doing so, I lost seventeen pictures, 'cause they were automatically deleted off the camera as I accessed them.

Why it couldn't have held on to them and asked me where else I wanted to put them, I don't know.....

Cue much swearing, and slamming of crockery into my parents' dishwasher - I can be kinda violent when I'm angry....
